News Round-Up – March 2021

Newmanor Law sent out the latest edition of our newsletter, the Newmanor Law Download, this week. Our bimonthly newsletter covers important updates on current commercial property news, as well as the latest happenings in the firm.

If you would like to subscribe to the mailing list, please email your details to or another member of the Newmanor team. Read our “From the Editor” piece below and find the rest of our articles on the Insights page.

We have already got past the first hurdle, March 8th, and children are gradually returning to school. Cerys is understandably relieved that her home-schooling duties are at an end. From today, we will be able to gather together in parks and gardens. Better still, from 12th April we can all have a drink outdoors in a pub or restaurant, maybe even sooner if the legal challenge is successful.

Since our last edition we have recruited our first legal director, Adel Shetty, who is a real estate finance expert. He joins us from Freeths and used to work with James at Nabarro. Hiring Adel is part of the next phase for Newmanor Law in which we will be building out the team to serve our clients even better.

Anne has also now qualified and is the proud owner of her first practicing certificate. Millie has now returned to work having recovered from long COVID which you can read more on below. James and I have been busy launching our small ticket property finance and lease renewal products. We also chaired a very successful breakfast round table on the subject “is the traditional office dead?”. Until next time…
