I started out my ‘legal life’ by working as a legal secretary, many moons ago, becoming a senior partner’s secretary in the early 1980s.

When the partner retired, I became a legal assistant in the property department at Boodle Hatfield where I continued to work for 39 years, crossing paths eventually with both Karen and James.

During the pandemic I was made redundant but was happy to join forces with Karen when I was offered a legal assistant position at Newmanor. I’m now Karen’s ‘right hand woman’, carrying out both legal and admin work. This could be reporting on title, drafting property documents, buddy checking reports from team members, updating HMLR spreadsheets, assisting team members with word processing and IT queries, just about everything to assist the smooth running of the team.

I’m also involved in marketing, organising external events, such as Niche Firm, which has regular monthly meetings in the City.

To de-stress I go for long walks and enjoy reading and embroidery.
