Introducing Kai Hughes

I am pleased to join Newmanor Law as the new Marketing and Events Assistant. I am currently studying Psychology at the University of Sheffield, and this placement represents a significant step in my academic and professional development. Originally from Hertfordshire, I completed my A-Levels in Cambridge and am excited to bring my background and skills to this role.

I am taking over from Cosette, who will soon be returning to university to complete her final year of studies. My schedule will see me working at Newmanor Law on Mondays and Tuesdays, and at Gatehouse Chambers from Wednesday to Friday. This arrangement will allow me to immerse myself in the diverse responsibilities and opportunities provided by both Newmanor Law and Gatehouse Chambers.

While my previous work experience to date has been only in retail, this position marks my introduction to legal services marketing. I am eager to learn as much as possible from this role, viewing it as an opportunity to explore a potential career path. My goal is to gain valuable insights and skills that will help me make informed decisions about my future career after university.

At Newmanor Law, I will be contributing to the firm’s communications and developing essential skills in content creation, digital marketing, and strategic communication.

Throughout this placement year, my objective is to develop a range of new skills that will be applicable to future job roles, whether in marketing or other fields, while also making a meaningful contribution to Newmanor. I am interested in understanding how marketing strategies can be effectively implemented in the context of a law firm and look forward to applying this knowledge in practical ways.

I am enthusiastic about learning from the teams at both Newmanor Law and Gatehouse Chambers. I am confident that this experience will be important in shaping my future career. I look forward to working with Newmanor and contributing to its success.
