Niche commercial property law firm Newmanor Law has capped off a period of growth and expansion with the appointment of Laurence Sheppard – a Construction Consultant with almost 30 years of legal experience.
Having previously advised on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious construction matters both home and abroad, Laurence brings a wide range of expertise to the firm, including extensive dispute resolution and contract negotiation experience.
The appointment represents important progression for Newmanor’s in-house construction team, as they continue to attract high-profile clients in need of immediate support.
Karen Mason, co-founding partner of Newmanor Law commented: “The success and fruitfulness of our new business pipeline has facilitated business-wide growth in recent months, so it is critical that we have the right resources to handle the additional workload.
“As our construction team became increasingly busy, it was clear that we needed a highly experienced individual of Laurence’s calibre to come in and guide the team through this period of growth. Upon meeting with Laurence, we knew that he was the ideal fit for the role from both a professional and cultural perspective.
“With knowledge of all aspects of non-contentious construction and an in-depth understanding of both public and private procurement, Laurence has a wealth of invaluable experience that will help deliver noticeable value to our clients.
“Having already demonstrated his ability within senior positions at other well-respected firms, we are confident that Laurence has all the tools needed to settle in quickly and lead the wider construction team, allowing us to build on this momentum moving forward.”
Newmanor Law’s new Construction Consultant Laurence Sheppard, said of his appointment: “The firm has been making waves in the sector for some time now and its pragmatic, fixed-fee approach is a key reason for the growth they have seen in recent times.
“Ultimately, this progression speaks for itself and the opportunity to join their construction team at such an important time was a key factor in my decision making – I’m now looking forward to working with the team and supporting clients with all their legal needs.
“I’d of course like to thank Newmanor Law for the opportunity and I am confident that this will mark the start of another exciting chapter in the firm’s history.”
