Specialist real estate firm Newmanor Law has appointed Charles James to lead the firm’s expansion into high-value residential conveyancing, complementing its established commercial property practice and reflecting growing demand from clients requiring sophisticated legal support across their entire property portfolios.
A property lawyer with extensive experience advising discerning clients on complex residential and commercial transactions, James joins from his own practice, which he established in 2008 to advise high-net-worth individuals, property investors and trustees on their property portfolios in London and overseas.
Karen Mason, Partner and Co-founder of Newmanor Law, commented: “Charles’ appointment is a strategic move for us. While commercial property has been our foundation, we recognised our clients, particularly international investors and high-net-worth individuals, increasingly require seamless support across their commercial and residential property interests.
“Charles brings exactly the calibre of expertise and client base we sought. His track record working with sophisticated clients on sensitive, high-value transactions, combined with his experience acting for overseas corporations, made him an ideal fit for our firm.
“Clients describe him as sophisticated and strategic, which are qualities that align perfectly with Newmanor Law’s commitment to delivering exceptional service on complex matters. His ability to handle the most intricate residential transactions, from leasehold enfranchisement to freehold acquisitions, strengthens our offering considerably.”
Charles James said of his appointment: “Newmanor Law’s reputation for delivering commercially focused, client-centric legal services made this an exciting opportunity. The firm’s approach mirrors my own by combining technical excellence with a genuine understanding of clients’ broader business objectives.
“Having built my practice around advising high net worth clients, I understand the discretion, sophistication and responsiveness that complex residential and commercial property matters demand. I’m looking forward to bringing this perspective to Newmanor Law’s growing client base.
“The firm’s strong position in the commercial property sector, combined with its innovative service model, creates the perfect platform to deliver comprehensive legal support. Whether clients are acquiring prime residential property, developing commercial projects, or managing international property portfolios, they can now access specialist expertise from a single source.”
Mason concludes: “Charles’s arrival enables us to serve our clients more comprehensively. His expertise in residential conveyancing, property development, landlord and tenant matters and offshore company compliance means our clients benefit from consistent, high-quality advice across their entire property holdings.”
